Hi mates,
here a small WIP (the car is already finished, and the kit almost OOB but I'd like to share...) of the Ferrari F310B. I needed some easy-to build kit after one year spent on the F2000/2001 sisters.
The kit appears without any paricular fitting issue, but the engine bay is quite simplified. So, better to make the kit fully closed, i.e., I will assemble the whole bodywork beore painiting, in order to have the cleaner line possible. Of course, care must be taken, to ensure that you can assembpli the whole car at the end!
In this case, no modification are needed to neither the engine or the bodywork, so... easy job!

Let's start with reducing the thickness of (almost) all visible bodywork-wings-bargeboards edges... embarassing!

The wing session..
the front wing is colored in gloss black to avoid decal silvering. Then polishing, decals, two coats of gloss acrylic clear, sanding to reduce the decal step, and a final light coat of semigloss clear.

The front and back wing parts were suitably drilled (0.35mm) to reproduce the real thing...

All the body parts are now in white primer, followed by zero paint red... always astonished by the easyness of this paint! If the clear were so easy!

After the red, a couple of TS13 clear gloss coats, and decals... starts to seem a F1 car!

Mechanics: for this kit I bought an Acustion set (mechanical part)... unfortunately all PE will remain hidden. Note that this small PE set almost allows to build two cars, so...
the brakes are colored with modelmaster enamels, brembo PE from acustion set, colored with acrylic red followed by alcohol cleaning to obtain a neat wording, and a mix of acrylic flat black and gun metal (about 50-50) for the carbon disk...
http://imageshack.us/a/img6/6355/f310bmechsa002.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/6/f310bmechsa002.jpg/)
All oob within the engine bay, no CF decals (only semi-gloss black):

and some assembly:

Finals: assembly of the front suspensions after bodywork clearcoats (acrylic gloss, followed by accurate sanding to remove decal steps, polishing and wax). Very difficult, any wrong touch of the bodywork lets fingerprints. To avoid this, I wear in the final stages of the assembly latex gloves+cotton gloves!

And the weels. The rim is in gold, followed by TS13, decals, semigloss clear, airvalves and PE balance weights (very nice add on!)

Hello Antonia, just a quick question:
I see you use TS-13 as clear coat before decals, which Acrylic clear do you use over the decals to remove the steps?

Hi 23skyline, at the moment I can't be sure, but I think it was tamiya X22, suitably thinned and used by airbrush: a couple of myst coats, followed by several wet coats, each one followed by sanding. When the step was removed, I started with micromesh and compounds.
