PCV Valve 2008 Uplander

Can anyone tell me what I have to do to get the PCV valve out of the valve cover? I took the other end of the tube out, but the valve side won't come out! Does it pull out, screw out, or does it need to get forced out and replaced with an adapter kit? It turns for me but won't come out, like it was forced in under pressure.

The vehicle shakes after it heats up at certain speeds and intermittently, so I'd like to see if the PCV valve is the culprit, but can't get the darned thing to co-operate!

That's what it appears! The darned thing turns but it won't come out, like it was pushed in to stay. I wish they brought back the old design, it was so easy to check, a few seconds! I was reading about something like that on a Chevy Equinox, and the solution was to yank out the PCV black cover, then drill 4 holes into the valve cover and use a replacement kit that attaches with four Phillips screws. But I don't like the idea of drilling into the valve cover and allowing the drilled shavings into the engine. Yikes!

This could be an expensive check of the PCV, unless there is some easy trick to checking the PCV valve! I can't think of one.
