Hello.. I'm new to the forums today and hope there will be someone who can help me with whats going on with my car.
When going to turn on the turn signal lever, something happened that caused it to either brake or come somewhat loose. The lever is intact I believe because I can still use the wipers function, but it is loose and I've lost the ability to use the turn signals, the cruise, the high beams, and my brake lights will not come on either.
Is it possible that a clip inside broke or came loose that is causing this?
Will the whole lever assembly need to be replaced possibly?
Is there an easy way to determine this?
Any help I would very very much appreciate as soon as possible.
Thank you all so much!

It's possible a screw came loose, but more likely the multifunction switch will need replaced. You will need to remove the steering wheel and inspect the switch to see what the problem is for sure.

When you say "switch" does that mean the inside parts under the airbag in the steering column? I am concerned that the lever itself could be broke? Is that possible or not because I do have the wiper functions still? The lever itself feels so loose but its gotta be connected...?

The lever may be broken but the wiring is still connected. Horn pad,air bag,steering wheel,switch gotta be removed to repair.

sounds like the switch needs to be replaced.
BTW =- the lever that you use is not the switch. the switch itself is in the steering column. my honest shade tree mechanic replaced mine 3 times in 2 years. i finally bought "a/c delco". same as the original chevy switch. now it,s ok.
all that made in china stuff is inexpensive and usually they"say same as original.
But sometimes it just don,t work.
if you search around you can find a parts place that sells "a/c delco" for much less than the chevy dealer.
Be sure you mechanic knows how to handle any "airbag".
let us know what delvelops.
