about the whistler radar detector...
i saw it on ebay...its got this cloaking system where ppl cant detect that you have one......about 200 AUD...so not too bad...but you think the cloaking system is a not 100%?

Just remember that they are illegal in most states nowadays. Also that the company that designs the detectors also designs the tech for detecting them in general. I got rid of mine a long time ago, simply beause the fines are horrendous if you get caught with one - and yes, cops can search your car if they think it necessary. If it's wired into the car - the car can be impounded.

BTW - they are useless, they usually only do X and K band, go off near electric doors etc and by the time you hear it go off then the cops have you.

Bottom line? I wouldn't - they will catch you with it sooner or later :sly:

Honestly Andrew...didn't think your car went faster than 10km/hr :lol:

A mate in Melbourne had one, Pete's right, by the time it DID go off you could SEE the cops.
