Dexron IV - All Equal?

Looking at dropping the pan and doing the 8 quart swap this weekend. Is Valvoline Max Life Multi-Vehicle ATF at $4.50/qt as good as Advance Auto Dexron IV at $6.99/qt? It says recommended by valvoline for GM Dexron II/III and IV.

Would hate to pick the wrong product...

Good for you that you are changing it. I would go with the Dexron IV, although the Valvoline product may be ok. Better safe than sorry, I don't believe the one product fits all are as good.

It's Dexron VI, not IV........
