2000 passat intermittent miss

Hello everyone I'm having a problem with my 2000 passat 1.8 tiptronic . I'm experiencing an intermittent miss for lack of better term . It usually occurs after I have driven the car and then stopped the engine and shortly after start it up again it will sometimes drop in rpm shortly either as I'm driving off or if I let it idle I sit with it in gear it will sometimes even die out but if I rev up the rpm only slightly it will just bog a little and catch itself. It will also miss one or two times as I'm increasing speed but then it will run fine with no problem. I have changed the coilpacks and plugs maf sensor is OEM New has anyone had a similar issue and figured out what the problem was? Any info would be greatly appreciated
