1998 suburban starting issue

I have a 1998 GMC Suburban that starts when it wants to. The check engine light was on for an o2 sensor and occational misfire on #7. After it wouldn't start for a couple days it finally fired up, I took it to the shop and it no long had any codes stored in it. Fuel pressure is good and it had spark and fuel pressure when it wouldn't start. I am at a loss, it has been doing this for almost two years. After it does start it will fire up no problem as long as its still warm. I'm guessing my next step is replacing the computer! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to Af. As you see I moved this to the proper forum. Don't replace anything without a proper diagnosis. You need good strong blue spark at the plugs number one and at least 60 psi fuel pressure, check all this when it won't start.

Thanks. The fuel pressure has always been good. Not sure on the spark. I've had the truck to the shop several times with no luck. That's the main reason i'm here. Tired of throwin money away.

could be too much fuel . replace the ECT sensor. make sure that the wires connector are also good. next just replace the crank sensor this is another sensor that craps out at this age.

Still no reading on the FP, also the coolant temp sensor would not prevent a start com-pletely, maybe extensive cranking but a full no start. If no spark, yes maybe the crank sensor.

Thanks for the advise. Also, when it doesn't start it will crank like crazy like its not even trying to start then it will bog down. when you stop cranking it will spit and spudder just a little.
