Should I keep the chrome or take it off?

I just got a great condition 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L V8 and it has a pretty large amount of chrome on it. Don't make fun of my engine either...I know.
This is it.

A lot of my friends are telling me that it looks bad with all that chrome on it and, no offense to anyone one of the hispanic descent, that it looks like a Mexican mobile. I don't disagree with that statement but the one thing I'm genuinely worried about is that the chrome has been on there for a while, like the wind deflectors on the window, and I'm assuming that the paint underneath that won't be faded by sunlight like the rest of the truck. This makes me think that it's going to look worse after taking it off. I don't have money for a repaint or anything like that but I was just wanting more opinions that don't come from my retarded high school friends who think they know everything about trucks.
So should i take it off or leave it? I personally think it looks pretty good with it...kind of individualizes it from the rest of the same model Dodges around here.

Also wondering if I should level it? I don't know the measurements yet because I'm too lazy to get them but from what I've seen all I could get is a 2" level max. The front of my truck barely fits under the garage as it is (1"-2" of clearance) so no more parking in the garage to protect it from birds, dirt, wind, rain, and sunlight. Just another idea I want more opinions on.

I'd lose the chrome only after I had a buyer to take it.
I leveled mine by replacing the 5" blocks on the rear spring perches with 2" blocks.
