Injection pump pressure?

How much pressure should this pump be producing?

Can we assume you mean the diesel injector pump, not much info and what year and engine, ????

I am trying to find someone to do the test and I was told by the last guy that it should be 200 psi with 42 psi going to each injector, sounds a little off to me

Hardly, 42 psi won't even open the injectors. Diesel injectors of that vintage are opened completely by pressure. Check the lift pump, they are a problem on those trucks.

I think the pop pressure of the injectors is supposed to be ~2100 psi. Food for thought as to what effects these have, the new diesels are north of 20k psi!
