How to avoid the back pressure engine problem

I am looking for some insight on the best ways to tackle the challenge of back pressure which has affected my engine for the second time now. I am hoping not to invest so much into solving this problem in ways such as buying a dual exhaust system.

What kind of exhaust back pressure, what kind of car/engine, how does this manifest itself, you have provided 0 info to expect any help here!

It looks like an early Plymouth/Dodge (like a Cuda or Challenger), but I'm unsure. Front end looks funny ...
