Hi guys.

Please, I want to buy a F2003 Japan GP model kit and need help to choose what decal sheet I should pick. What is the best option for "price/quality" sheet?

I intend to build a curbside kit, possible a diorama pit stop.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,

I'm currently busy with the 2003 Italian GP version.
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1086938
I used the Tabu decals-very well printed and easy to use. It is a bit thick in my opinion.

The standard Fujimi sponsor decals are not entirely opaque so I'd try and get the Museum Collection decals if I were you, their decals are much more opaque but you would need to do some cutting to make the Marlboro logos fit the rear wing as it seems they are printed for the Italian version. They do supply extra Marlboro decals that you can trim.

The F'artifice decals are made for the MFH kit and might not fit very well.

I have never used Acu Stion decals, so I can't comment on them.

I hope this helps.

Let me know if you have more questions regarding this model, I have learned some lessons from mine that can hopefully make building yours easier.

Yeah, help me a lot. Thank you. But I already bought the kit and the decals were out of stock, so I would buy in the future. But now I know what I want.

It'll be my first Fujimi kit, and I notice that you tried to change the tires to a Tamiya set and after back to Fujimi ones. How do they look? What did you do?

By the way, your work is awesome.

Thanks for the compliment, it's not as good as some of the builds on the forums but I'll get there:biggrin:

This is my first Fujimi f1, I also have the 248F1 and I can tell you that thy are getting better
I found some decals you might be interested in:

The first option is the best (it also includes the tobacco decals on a second sheet not shown)but if you don't want to spend the money, the Hobbydesign decals will do the trick.

I buy a lot of my stuff from them and I never had any problems, just be sure to have it sent registered mail.

The tires in my kit are terrible, it has prominent sag on the rear tires if you look at them with the tread facing towards you. I sort off sorted this out by putting high density foam on the inside between the tire walls. my front tires seem to be molded skew, they would not fit the rims properly. I carefully glued the the outward facing sides to the rim to at least get them to look like they fit.

I hope you'll do a WIP, to me this one of the best looking F1 cars of all time but no one is building it-it is challenging but it's also satisfying.

if you have any more questions, please ask them on my WIP, or even better start your own-I'm no expert but I'll help where I can:thumbsup:

Thank you, Martin.

I really apreciate your help.

Probably I'll do a WIP, but I don't know when it'll happens. Right now I have a new "WIP"... my baby room, cos my wife is pregnant. I just bought the kit because I don't want to loose the chance to get it.

F2003-GA is the best looking car to me too. I have a Revell 1/12 F2002 in the box too.

Thanks for your tips. If I have any new questions I let you know. Keep up the great work.
