2003 Caravan Alternator Clutch Pulley

This pulley has a life of around 70K miles. When it starts to go bad it will make noise. This is hard to diagnose as there are a few pulleys and a tensioner on this belt. If you take off your belt and spin the pulley by hand you will feel if it has play and is bad. You can get them on ebay for around $35. To remove it you do not need the special tool everyone talks about. Just use an impact with a 17mm allen socket and something to hold the rotating disc (screwdriver) behind the alternator frame. The thread is normal so the impact should spin ccw to loosen it.:wink:
