What's the best way to change sparkplugs on the rear bank on the 3.1 V-6?

Apply ebrake....vehicle in neutral.....remove the two front "dog bones".....Grab the engine and pull it forward, and either tie wire it or wedge a block of wood against the firewall....

Then get a double ball swivel setup to attach your spark plug socket to.....

Should replace the wires too.....yanking/twisting on them, can damage them, and you don't want to go back in there......

Some guys remove the bracket for ICM/coils......4- 10mm bolt/nuts....gives more room.....

Thanks. I only have one dogbone - it's a 1990. Will your method still work?

I think this does not apply to this TBI 3.1 with the single coil and rotary distributor ?

...and yes, as suggested, wires are at least as important as the plug themselves. ANd if you can take a photo of the tilted engine...:naughty:.. THey even have this tool for this very purpose

BTW, the 3.8 is even more of a nightmare because of its broader block...I do the rear plugs from under.... http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=599442
