:sarcasmsign:
A nice easy model to start with here ...

I will say straight away that I have no intention of it looking anything like that box image. I bought this kit hoping it would be relatively *easy* to chop it up, but no such luck!
I've already done some work on this kit so I'll run you through a few modifications.
Below is a mock up of the stock ride height out of the box ... not low enough for me! (you'll also notice some different tyres and rims, de-chromed using the bleach method, in preparation for Alclad chrome treatment)

Below is the current mock up and lower ride height ...

Next up, how I achieved that height ...

Below is a photo of the stock frame, which is leaf spring suspension based, with a piece cut from the front end of a chevy nomad kit out, which is a lowered, sprung front end ...

and the half-finished chop ...

Of course, this is going to leave me with some work to do with engine fitment, but again, I'm not going with a stock engine, I'm considering something a little "nuts" ...

This is the "little motor I'm considering putting in the F100 (with or without those exhausts sticking out the engine hood!). I may change my mind ... but I doubt it ...

Just a few of the other mods I am considering ...
First up a change of the front grille which is installed and de-chromed in the below photo, with the replacement sat in front ... (you will also notice a shaved hood)
http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8104/8614062047_30d0218125_c_d.jpg
Shaved molded on door handles (such as the door on the right), with the separate replacements also in the photo ...
http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8530/8614075757_7a049004f9_c_d.jpg
separate replacements for the windscreen wipers (or possible photo etch ones), choice of steering wheels and battery to be added with wiring and full engine detailing.

It should be a monster when complete!

Looks good! But isn't the rear fenders the wrong way.. In my view it ruin the flow of the lines.

Love the F100, I tried to build one years ago when I was young. Completely ruined the roof chop. I must buy another kit.
I've never heard of the bleach method. Do you just soak the parts?

Very cool, I'm doing a '53 something like that and would like to see your custom grill on. I'm having trouble deciding on a custom grill for mine!
