Hi Folks.
I was trying to get to the bottom of a cooling fluid leak and as I was trying to remove the hoses from the "tree" inside of the passenger side firewall, it cracked further. I know this is probably a junkyard part, but does anyone know the proper name of this thing, maybe somebody has put one together from copper and has a rough sketch? Is it just an open junction, or is there a valve in there?
I also have a 2005 Astro, now, that I'm waiting for warm weather to look over thoroughly. Anyone know if GM continued this gadget to the end of the line?
Thanks
Harryevan

Are you talking about this: "air heater control valve"?

Yep, that's it. I don't know why they made it out of ABS, but it fell apart. Now I can go looking for one. Thanks, very much.

A junk yard part is probably no better then the one you are about to replace. But you'll see that when it crumbles as you try to remove it. Go with new, aftermarket part. Rock Auto sells a Four Seasons brand one for $32 bucks. That's for the one sim 1 manson showed.( 6 port rear heater). Or $30 bucks for the 4 port version,( front heater only). Its vacuum controlled.
