My 98 front passenger side window won't move. I hit the main button and the door button and I get nothing. The rest of the windows are fine and the lock is off. It did work but I didn't use the window much during the winter. Any ideas

Give the R/F door panel a few good smacks with your had while holding the window switch down. If it starts to work, the window motor needs replaced or there is a loose connection in that door. If not, you will need to check for power and ground at the window motor. If there is good power and ground, the motor needs replaced, if not you'll need to check the wiring...

Well. you are lucky it is up.... Only you can decide if switch is bad, motor is bad, or most likely, the cable mechanism turned into a bird's nest- you'll have to test motor- best to go inside first, take door panel off and investigate.

Check for the bound up cable mechanism first....then if it is ok...

Unplug window motor, put 12v to either lead, ground to the other- and see what happens-

In addition to what was previously posted, just remove the trim plate from the passenger side door panel, and attach a test light to the two wires going to the motor......then press the switch from either door....if it lights up when the switch is pressed in BOTH directions, you need a motor....if it does not, then you need to check the two ground legs into the switch, and the power into the switch with a test light.....if they check out ok, bad switch......If no power, open wire......if one of the ground circuits is bad into the switch, then could be a bad wire or master switch.....the wire loom bundle going to the driver's door is known for breaking wires due to flexing of wires, from opening and closing the door.....
