1/24 Lamborghini Silhouette

Not a great kit, but not bad for a quick build. Worst part is the body sides that are sunken in due to a large inner rib which attaches the door panels.

Shot paint tonight, Chrysler "Flame Red"...then dropped it on the floor! Grrrr...soaking in alcohol now...

Bummer about the paint. I'm just happy to see someone building one of these. I've never seen one built, only in the Testor's wish books that come in the models.

Well, I didn't like how the paint flowed anyhow. Continuing on with the interior. This model does have fairly crisp molding, so it wasn't too bad painting gauge markings etc. It's a pretty simple kit. One of those ex motorized ones.
Anyway, the paint came right off, but the primer isn't. I do hope I can salvage it...

Wow, that's just aweful. Great kit salvage, but man, those wheels are TERRIBLE! You have got to find some Aoshima or fujimi LP500 or 5000 wheels

The wheels aren't too bad...they are the earlier bravo style. I drilled out the holes on mine so that they look a little better. The tires are a little clunky looking tho. I do have a fujimi countach that I had considered using the wheels from...
P.S. that built one isn't mine...

Continued on with interior. Still needs touch up, detailing & carpet, but it looks ok so far. Nothing spectacular...

this lambo looks spectacular in white color.. i used to have a 1/43 model of this car from Minichamps in white color..

It's back in alcohol now. I may stick with red if I can correct some of the issues with the primer coat. I do like white a lot too tho

Dug this one out & repainted it. I couldn't get the primer striped off, so there's buildup in the seams, but I'm just going ahead with it the best I can...

Looks good! I have an extra set of the more-accurate Tamiya phone-dials for it if you need them. I love these obscure "super" cars from the 70s-80s.

Heh, thanks guys! This model isn't turning out very well, but its a learning experience. One of those that if it can go wrong, it will, lol
While sanding/polishing paint I went thru in several places. Then painting window trim & other details just didn't go smoothly. Blah. I'm just pluggin away at it though. I wouldn't mind building another though if they were easier to come by.

Well, I've lost my enthusiasm for this one. I've determined that the paint I'm using has been too "hot" for this cheap plastic. I haven't been putting my best effort into it since,but it looks ok from a couple feet away, LOL
