Idle when its cold

Hi,

I have an 98 Lumina LTZ with 3.8 V6 Engine.

I had replaced a month ago the egr valve. Now the the engine idle when it's cold around -10 degree Celsius on 1500 rpm. When it's warm upped then it goes down on 1000 rpm. Obd2 says 750 but the display says 1000.

What is your idle when it is cold? Before replacement the cold idle was on on 1200 rpm.

I have seen mine go the almost 1500 on start up at 10 degrees F. Does settle to about 750 warmed up. OBD2 scan is more accurate than your dash gage.
