1996 Caravan SE Sport and wipers are no go

Turn wipers on and motor growls but wipers do not move, checked 30 amp fuse and it is good, all other functions of the multifunction switch are good, where do you suggest I start looking?

if it's growling it seems like the gears in the motor are shot.

You are correct, the motor is toast, 17 years old, they just do not make them the way they use to.
