Dome Light

Is there a way to set the operation of the dome light in the 2012 Ram Quad Cab? I know I can turn it of and off with the panel dimmer, but what I want is: Door open - light on; Door closed - light off, NOW, not a slow fade in 30seconds. You know, like the way it always worked before computers started controlling everything.
