1967 VW Beetle

Ok guys here's another project of my.

I'm building this kit OOB for my granny's brother. He is a hardcore VW Beetle lover so I think it's cool to build a model for him in original shape.

I started with the simple Hasegawa kit:

His first car was also a Beetle which was Red. So I chosed Mars Red for the ideal red color.

Painted some primer on the model after sanding the modlines.

Followed by some layers of Mars Red:

And tonight I added the BMF on the trims:

I also painted the wheels white/black and they need a clearcoat this week.

I'll clearcoat the body this week I think when I find some spare time.

Today I clearcoated the body with 2K Clear from Zero Paints.

I also mixed up some creme coloured paint to paint the interior. I also painted the doorpanels red and did the midconsole and thrunk in grey.
