Going to small claims to get damage paid for, its an older car with mods and a new motor, need to prove value but I don't have a receipt for the motor but I have leak down test results from a shop showing 1% leakby. I would like to bring some kind of sheet from a shop manual or some sort of ase book showing that 1% would indicate a motor in new condition. If someone has a coy of something they could post that would be awesome, I don't think any of the many internet write-ups would work in court.

Do you think the instructions for a cylinder leakdown tester would be sufficient? The challenge will likely be more in proving that the leakdown results were measured correctly and didn't involve squirting a bunch of oil down the cylinders or someone just scribbling numbers on a sheet of paper.

In most courts you will need an expert witness to testify how this is done and what the results mean, also you need to prove it was done to your engine.
