After some minor hiccup, like losing the dashboard parts during my relocation, I finally managed to finish my first model of 2013. (Yeah, the lost parts were found in a camera bag of all places!)

I like Fujimi's Scuderia kit a lot. There are a few issues, like the molding on the engine cover (which should have been deleted) or windows that look pushed in. Otherwise, the kit is near perfect in terms of detail, ease of assembly and value.

Kit was built almost out of the box, with a few enhancements, like CrazyModeler's PE scripts and various CF decals. I kept the plastic mesh parts from the kit, except for the rear panel.
Depending on how the color is set up, the wheel looks too redish in these photos. I think I will repaint with more accurate color.

Color is custom mixed with gold pearl powder. You can see the yellowish hue in the highlight above the rear tire..

Engine parts are redesigned from the F430 kits, so the Sruderia kit no longer has the unrealistic engine or ill-shaped intake chamber, but comes with separate cam covers and a much more accurate intake chamber, which is a huge plus.

Interior is not carried over from the F430 kit either (something Fujimi regularly did in the past), and fitment of parts is just as good as Tamiya, if not better.

Now, back to some Porsche kits...

That looks brilliant in every respect! I'd love to know what photo set-up you used, especially for that first shot. It makes the car looks as low and fast and sleek as it really is, which I find is often difficult when photographing models. Longer lens from further away?

bestest,
M.
