Tamiya Aston Martin DBS Question

I'm considering getting a Tamiya Aston Martin DBS kit and I'm looking for feedback on the best photoetch set to get for the model. Any thoughts on bet fit, etc?

Both the Hobby Design and the KA Model sets look nice, and the Hobby Design one is the most comprehensive. Either set should be fine, just get the one that fits your budget.

Search for the DBS builds in here, they should be able to give you an idea.

Hello. I recently purchased the DBS with the ABER photoetch included. Tamiya has packaged them together. The photoetch is set is very nice and includes cast brass brake calipers and a bunch of other stuff. Here's the link.

To be honest, don't bother with extra detail sets.
The etch parts that come with the kit are enough.
High detail brakes etc are utterly pointless as they will be totally invisible when the kit is finished.
Even the included plastic moulded front grille is amazing. An etched one won't really notice.
Etched floor mats????? What's that all about????
You won't see them!
A really worthwhile detail kit would be a FULL ENGINE instead of the half engine in the kit.
I've built this amazing kit myself and I did the most important 'detailing' of all - Build it RIGHT HAND DRIVE!
The Aston is a British Icon and it's criminal that Tamiya built it LHD!
The conversion isn't too difficult and I'm really glad I did it.
One thing I wish I had done is to cut out the driver side window to make it look wound down - that way you can see far more of the interior.
It's an ACE kit of an ACE car.
Another one is on my stash list.

I actually got the last one on HLJ few months ago. B/O since.
But I agree, the Aber set is probably the best one.
