I was just a little boy when I saw the Jaguar XJ220 on a carshow. I was in heaven of this car. A few years later I was able to drive a distance with a dutch owner of this car in Luxembourg. This is still one of my dreamcars:
http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/7947/inhoud%20(1)%20(Custom).jpg
I opened the box and was suprised. There was a seat missing but the bags were still sealed.... How's that possible? But lucky me there was someone that helped me to sent me 2 new seats.

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/7947/inhoud%20(6)%20(Custom).jpg
The original wheels are ugly and cool at the same time. It's like a supercar with plastic wheelcovers :D
http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/7947/inhoud%20(7)%20(Custom).jpg
Time for a new set of wheels. BBS LM look good at every kind of car, but I didn't know they looked so very cool under this car:

There is just one right color for a British supercar: Bentley Speed Green:

Great supercar. Very smooth and sexy shape. I love it! You can see mine here:

You choose nice colour and wheels. Just one remark. XJ 220 has central lock wheel ONLY!

Looking forward to seeing the paint results. I was going to paint an xj220 I'm doing currently in that same colour... until Royal Mail rained on the parade and decided that zero paints are dangerous goods..

I think I prefer these in the dark colours like that deep purple.
I've got one in my to build pile and I keep wanting to shorten the rear, especially seeing as it doesn't actually have the V12 it was supposed to...

Great Choice of wheels, anything would look better than the hubcap look!
Nice choice of colour, im sure the Jag purists would prefer Jag green but That Bentley Colour is VERY Nice!
I read an artilce a few years ago saying 10yrs after the XJ220 came out there were still several New cars that hadnt been sold!!! Sitting on the car lot for over 10yrs!!

I like your choice of color for this jag..i think the metallic racing green really is the best color for all jags. For the wheels, damn i never thought an XJ220 would look so lovely sitting on a set of LMs... really lookin forward to this build!!

Any alternative in case of NEIN?

That looks really AWESOME in Martini livery :jerking:
In case you can't get them anymore, maybe someone can re-design them ? It can be done, but I can't ;)

This week I painted the body with the Bentley green paint. Nice color even it's matt.

But the color really comes to life with some Zero 2K Clear.

The BBS LM wheels were painted in primer and followed by a layer of Mr. Hobby Metalizer Gold. I think the gold paint suits with the green paint.

Good.
I want to give you an advise for the future work. May be you already knew. If to assemble this kit correctly, the front lamp arms will clash to radiators. I had saw it too late after the painting and was needed to grind off two places on the top of the radiators.

Last week I spent some time to do the interior.
First I primered every part and painted it with Vallejo Sand Yellow. I masked of some parts and painted the matt black.
I also gave it a matt clearcoat and added Light Buff interiorflocking.
After adding the little parts I was done.

Magnificent build and finish. But a well-meaning suggestion; if mine, I'd have used Tamiya X-31 Titan Gold on the wheels. It is lighter and picked out with details as you did, it would compliment beautifully with the Bentley Green. You could test it on a spoon...:licka:

Had a really busy period and didn't spent much time on modelling. Also the bad fittment of the windows really pissed me off. But finally I managed to do something on the Jag.
First I completed the engine:
http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/7947/engine%20(1)%20(Custom).jpg
http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/7947/engine%20(2)%20(Custom).jpg

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/7947/engine%20(4)%20(Custom).jpg
http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/7947/engine%20(5)%20(Custom).jpg
http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/7947/engine%20(6)%20(Custom).jpg
http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/7947/engine%20(7)%20(Custom).jpg
http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/7947/engine%20(8)%20(Custom).jpg
http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/7947/engine%20(9)%20(Custom).jpg
Then further with the body. First I put the windows in place, or at least I tried to. The fittment is really bad and the shape of the windows doesn't match with the body. Big gaps are visible after glueing them. There was also not much area for glue so I used a bit of instant glue and welded the windows to the body. The gaps are filled up with thick black paint. And that was the best I could do I think. I also damaged the hinges of the rearwindow so I can't open it anymore.

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/7947/body%20af%20(3)%20(Custom).jpg
Meanwhile I struggled to glue the chassis in place. A lot of glue and heavy force was needed to get it right. Now it's finished and waiting for better wheater to take some pics.
