Need starter gear tooth geometry

Can anyone tell me what the pressure angle and diametral pitch is on the gear of an automotive starter.
Working on a project and need to find a 6" diameter gear that will mesh with the gear on a starter. Trying to make a starter that will start my dads old 1929 John Deere tractor.

It will likely depend on what starter you use. Some flywheels have more teeth than others.

Do you have a donor starter that you want to use? If so, you could calculate the gear size/pitch. McMaster-Carr probably has a section explaining how to measure the gear and listing of available gears in the size/pitch you need.
