Fuel gauge issue

I have a 2005 Altima that has an issue with the fuel gauge. It seems to be registering way past full and doesn't move as fuel is consumed or added (See attached image). I'm guessing it's either an issue with the gauge itself or the sending unit. Anyone encounter this or have any suggestions on how to narrow it down?
