Gas gauge wont work?? Heater light wont work?

Hey I changed my heater core which meant I had to remove the dash. I put everything back together and now the gas gauge wont work nor does the little bulb that lights up the heater control knobs. The gauge cluster has 3 plugs behind it and yes they are plugged in and the temp, tach and speedo work fine as well as lighting up. The gas gauge just reads dead empty and I filled up the tank just to make sure and it still wont move. The heater control illumination light is not getting power in the wires going to the bulb (checked with multimeter). All the fuses are good and the dimmer switch is plugged in and the bulb is good (tested with cup holder light and it lights up when plugged in there). ANY IDEAS!?!?!:runaround:
