Hello everyone! Here's my build for the 911 tribute: a 911 (964) Carrera RS. My plan is to leave it mostly oob, while adding a bit more detail in areas the kit lacks. Still waiting for the seats from Scaleproduction and metal transfers from Hobby Design to arrive. Here's the kit:

and what I've done so far:

Finished sanding the body, ready for primer

Also used epoxy putty to recreate the late model 964 rear bumper. Looks ok I think.

More progress will come in the next few days. Thanks for looking!

Cheers,

Great start!
I love the cup wheels and mirrors in this kit. Are you going to build it as a street car?

cool Project. I biult the same one as the '93 Carrera Cup from Mika Häkkinnen (TagHeuer livery)
I think the CUP Wheels from the kit are ugly. I take they from Scale Production. And this kit has a Street interieur. I use the Tamiya GT2 chassis. it fits very well.

Thanks for the comments! Yes my plan is to build it as a road car, but I may change the cup wheels as they are slightly undersized, despite having the correct shape. 18" BBS LMs from Aoshima (the one with deep dish) seems to be perfect for the car, but it's sold out on hlj and 1999. Any idea on where to get them?

I tried fitting the body to the Tamiya GT2 chassis and it does fit very well! Even the wheelbase is the same. However I will just stick to the Fujimi chassis (with much less detail than that of Tamiya's) for this build.

Just primed the body today. Will post more pics after painting.

Cheers,
