Bought this kit on impulse a few years ago, put it in the stash, and then built a load of racing cars and bikes. Then got inspired to start it and was pleasantly surprised by its quality. Despite a lot of the sprues having a 1986 date on them the whole thing fitted together well and although there is a low parts count those parts all responded well to detailing and painting.
This is pretty much box stock, but I added a few bolt-heads (made from hex Evergreen) to the engine, gearbox and axle to represent drain plugs and fixings, a bit of wiring in the engine bay for ignition and battery leads, and some lap-belts using Studio27 ribbon and scratch-made buckles. The colour is Tamiya TS Lime Green (released for the Kawazaki MotoGP bike), and I used BMF on the window frames – the first time I’ve done this and it came out great.
The kit decals laid down well, including the battery label and data stickers under the bonnet. The tyre decals came from Scale Equipment Ltd who gave a great service and the product is excellent.
Sorry about the rubbish pictures – The UK has snowfall here and I couldn’t get outside for some decent light.

great work you've put there - doesn't look like an 80's kit at all! :)
