I have a 94' P10 :)
Anyways..... was driving today on the highway, and decided to flip on cruise control. Before, there were no problems cruising in 5th gear around 80mph on the freeway...
Now, i press the cruise activation switch on the left, by the side mirror adjustment switch. The light turns green with "On". Yay.
Then, i move my thumb next to the steering buttons, where it says "Res Accel, Cancel, and Set"
I press set.
Nothing.
I manage to try multiple combo's.. and my actual "Cruise" light on the gauge cluster NEVER comes on. Whats going on? =/ Cruise never activates either...

hmmm well it could mean that the steering wheel control switch is broken. Or maybe the vacumn pump that runs the ASCD is not engaging, hence broken.

Switch was working not too long ago. I'm thinking the control switch is still intact...
Vacuum Pump that ruuns the ASCD? What the heck is the "ASCD" ?
If this pump isn't working.. is that bad? (Besides running the cruise.... which isn't important enough to get fixed RIGHT NOW... maybe later when i have time and money)...
T4-P :
I checked the fuse boxes...
NONE of them say cruise control. I checked both engine compartment boxes (the one by battery.. other by ABS brake controller)... and i checked the inside drivers side one. None have a marked "Cruise" fuse.

Something is buggered. There is a procedure in the FSM for testing the cruise components.
Looks like we can take at look at it in two weeks at the geekout.

ASCD = Automatic Speed Control Device its the fancy name for cruise :) I think theres 1-2 fuse blocks under the hood for it

If you guys figure this out, please post back...
The first day I had my 93 G the cruise worked, then the next day the "cruise" light flashed in the driver's cluster and the control never took.
Now when I know the switch is on nothing happens no matter what combination of buttons I try... I'm curious to see if I can fix this w/o huge $$$ :)
