On my 1993 Mazda MPV the check engine light has come on for years. I went to the dealer for the Cumputer diagnosis in 1994 and had the light turned off ....but the light continues to come on.
The light came on and off couple of months before, but it comes on all the time now.
Could anyone help or have any advice....I'd appreciate any help!
Thanks,
Jeff

1) Replace the fuse (and be certain the contact areas are clean).
2) Check the solenoid that pumps the windshield wiper fluid. When this part wears down and gets wet, it triggers the Check Engine Light, ABS Warning Light (and sometimes blows the fuse).
3) Are you using the original manufacturer's gas cap? Is it cracked anywhere perhaps causing a slight leak of air?
Good luck!

did you just hit the 60k mark sometimes the light will come on as a service reminder to check the o2 sensor and emissions system
