last week my Jeep died. I replace the coil, the crank positioning sensok, and then the distributor pickup (that fixed it). it lasted about 30 miles now it's getting no spark again. could I have gotten a bad pickup? what else could cause it to go bad?

Sometimes the Crankshaft Position Sensor is bad from the factory.

Before I put a new one in, I would replace the distributor cap, the rotor, and the spark plugs if they have not been replaced in the last 30000 miles. If you spark plug wires are more than 4 or 5 years old, I would consider replacing them also.

Has it gotten a lot colder recently in your area?

Update: the problem was never the distributor pickup.. my uncle never told me he had to replace a fuse underneath the hood. it's the small 30 amp fuse, the book says its auto shutdown relay. anybody have a clue what would cause that to kick out?
