Hi all,
here is my first entry for the 911 tribute, a GT3 I started months ago.
I will use some aftermarket stuff, HD rims and tires to build a more personal version, but it will be mostly OOB.

My first work was on the inside, I wanted to apply "flocking" as I did in my California.
Here is where I was so far when I took pictures.

Time to take and upload new pics of my last work and I will post a new update, but it will be next year ! :icon16:
Happy New Year to all !

Update !
I finsihed the inside flocking, all with same technic, using vaccum cleaner filter tissue painted black.
I used the template from the kits reported on masking tape but it took me around 6 hours to complete the inside flocking !

I painted the body, the rear wing and the front bumper.
Pictures don't pay justice to the real look of the blue... Will try new pics under natural light.

I modified a bit the exhaust

I wanted to put flocking on the seat too, but I'm not really satisfied with it...
it seems to cut the seat in two halves...

Don't know if I should let the bottom part of the seat free of flocking, or just not to flock the seat and let it blue leather looking...
I will try new seats without flocking and see how it looks.
Carbon on the rear looks good.

That's where I am by now.
Comments welcome !

Good job!! Why don't you tru the seat with talc? I tested it and it was ok (just to put paint or liquid glue on the seat and then the talc. Pusch it with a brush and paint it with airbrush)

Thank you for your feedback and good tip ;) I may try it.
But for this time in fact I'm not unsatisfied about the technic, I think the filter stuff is nice and relatively easy to use, I'm just not satisfied of the look of the whole middle of the seat in flocking compared to the sides in color... :sly: :icon16:
I may let the seat totally nude from flocking, like a full leather seat, just putting carbon on the rear.
I don't really think btw that this tissue look isn't really accurate for a Porsche sport seat... :dunno:
