Hi everyone, I'm going back to motorcycle models after a pause with model cars (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1072707).
The model I will do is kawasaki KR1000F 1981, the world champion endurance.

Good work so far!
I place two strips of tape and at the center I cover them with putty (Tamiya white) and then I work with a toothpick and take the tapes.
I have not closer view, but you can see in the next pics the same welds on swingarm.

The engine block was painted black, all the bolts were painted in Alluminium, I installed fittings top studio and metal braid hoses of Tuner Model Factory.
The carburetors were painted, I put a strip in the manifolds, I have made fuel filters and I installed fuel hoses and vent pipes.

The brake discs and the crown of the transmission into place properly or needed to adapt?
I have a kit to mount this, congratulations for the excellent work, I'm following.

The front wheel brake disc hubs are more wide, it's easy to enlarge the wheel hub ho le with a file. The rear wheel is more large, so it's necessary to reduce the ticinese of the wheel hub, otherwise the rear swingarm will not colse.

I deleted the fake wheels, I rebuilt the wheels with plastic pipes.
I made an infinite number of welds, they are barely visible in the picture with the black paint. I painted simulating intense wear.

That would be my only gripe too...model looks fab though !
How did you get on with the decals? Did you spray the white areas? Are they later Cartograf decals? The old ones used to be way too transparent!

For the front fairing I could not use the kit decals because they were made for the full fairing, I had to draw the decal with illustrator and printed them at a service center.

For the fairing I masked the area and I painted white under the decals.
The decal of the tank and the tail are the original cartograph.
I made a stupid mistake, too late to correct it. The French flag in the side of the right has the colors reversed.
