Greddy Turbo Kit

I was owndering what the spool up time on the greddy kit for the Si is. Isn't like 2200rpm and your boostin. Because now im stuck between REVHARD and GREDDY, I like the greddy because it comes with the FCU and the INJECTORS, but i like REVHARD beacuse of the turbo, and external wastegate. I'm not a serious racer, just lookin for some more oomp for daily driving.

Well once you get that extra oomph, your gonna want more.
Go with the revhard. The 18g for the Si is not a quick spooler compared to the 15g fo the D series.

REVHARD is better than Greddy. Plain and simple.

Yea, i was thinkin that. Anyone know where i can get a ball bearing upgrade for one. I can get the Revhard stage 2C for 2850. But id like a quick spooling turbo.

Sorry I don't. But yes it is wise to get a ball-bearing with an engine with such small displacement.

So is the Greddy turbo kit a good basic starter kit for a daily driver but still have power to run with a DOHC or any other contender that must run? Also does it hurt to run this turbo kit without an intercooler for a long period of time?

A ball bearing cartridge is ~500 bucks. Not worth the extra 2-300rpm faster spool. IMHO
Revhard makes a nice kit. So Does GReedy. I just perfer Garrett turbos. You will need an intercooler for more then 5psi.

wtf...without a doubt revhard is a way more developed kit that has a superb design and the us greddy kits blow.
if your looking for some more "oompf" for daily driving then dont do turbo. when you turbo a honda all the rules change and unless you have the money and/or the elbow to do the work that comes along with it, its not worth it. you wont be that much faster if you dont know what your doing

custom is the only way to go in my eyes. Piece together your own kit. It may cost a little more depending on what turbo and manifold you go with, but you'll be much happier in the end.

if you dont mind me asking....is the t4 60-1 on a gsr motor? and if so, what kind of numbers/times are you putting down? and....i see you have inlinepro linked...are you an owner of one of their sponsored cars??
sorry for all of the questions but i figured ide ask them all up front

Yes, the 60-1 is on a gsr. On 10psi on my fmu setup it made 330whp on pump gas and on 1.1bar on race gas it made 440whp. Now i have hondata and it's untuned so i'm not sure. On the fme setup it ran a best of 11.4@128 while letting off at around the 1000ft from running lean. It's not a sponsered car by them, maybe this year once it gets into the low 10's.

Does inline pro make a D series manifold yet? They are THE best for the money.

Heres a question nobodys asked yet. if you were to buy the greddy kit and say after awhile you do get the bug and want more power, can you buy another turbo and use the manifold that comes with the greddy kit for other turbos. Are most turbos interchangable with each as far as the oil lines and intercooler piping etc etc.?
Cronic

You would be stuck with another mitsu turbo thhat used the same flange.
4drcivic

Does that mean i could only switch it with other mitsu turbos? ALso whats the difference between the greddy 15g turbo and say an 18g? from what i've learned so far on this board, for my purpose the stock greddy kit would suit me fine for now, it will leave me plenty of room to upgrade even if i can't run 20psi of boost like you crazy guys do..lol.. 6-7psi is fine for me. Also last question i know i'm being boring, with the stock EX civic fuel managment system(pump,injectors,etc..) be fine enough to only puch 6 psi of boost with the 15G turbo kit? Thanks for the help.:bigthumb:
