Alan - I am not prepared to confirm this 100% as it is all very last minute and I don't want to be responsible for your travel costs should something go wrong. As far as I am aware it is happening, all the transport has been booked and arrangements made, so 99% sure it will be there.
I am not aware of it being booked for anything else after this and I have already arranged for it to go back into hibernation late next week.
Thanks,
Henry

Thats good enough for me! dont worry I wont hold it against you should it not be there, (I can always console myself with some fine Belgian beers if for any reason it is not there:biggrin:) but im all booked up! many thanks for sorting this out, very much looking forward to it!!:runaround::runaround::runaround:

Damned, I allways live wrong country :uhoh:, XPGT would be fantastic to see!
Fantastic that McLaren will bring these cars on shows, that' superb. :smokin:

I have one question to you Henry, if you don't mind, sorry if the Thread is wrong, but I have to ask this. Otherway I don't get peace to thinking of this.

I have been wondered this so many painfull times, would McLaren had changes to bring in Finland to some motorshow example #01R and XP1 LM? Would that be possible at all?
I know it's far away from UK and it's not free. But JJ Lehto really did history with #01R and we have had here in Finland actually #16R in December 1996 (http://samiaal.kuvat.fi/kuvat/1996+McLaren+F1+GTR+-+16R/) and that FIA GT1 race in Helsinki 1997 so we have GTR History here defenitely.
Just wondering, would this kind of thing be possible at all in the future?

Thanks for the answer and I want to welcome you in to this fantastic Forum. Really appreciate it that you write here!
I really don't know any else car Forums in the Net which has so fantastic people.

Hi,

first, many thanks to display publicly 56XPGT especially since the car is encircled in storage :)

I am off thursday and sunday, it will be difficult but I will try.

Thanks Henry to announce that on the forum. Can you confirm XPLM was planned to attend Windsor Concours but was replaced by the "GREAT" 12C GT3 instead ?

was chassis 56 any way towards being a normal F1 when it was made into a GT? Or do we know for a fact that it was always going to be a wildly different car right from the get-go? (Same for 54 and 58)

This is a great question!.......

As far as my notes show, all long tail monocoques start life as standard F1 chassis mould forms, with cut and shut bonded sections that turn them into longtails, if you look very closely at a longtail GTR you can see the bonding join for the rear wing/fender section. The roof scoop is also another section bonded on. All longtail GTR,s have a different carbon and layup spec to the road version, read that as stiffer/lighter.

Ask and you shall receive....

Due to a last minute cancellation I have been able to arrange a certain green longtail to be put on show. :iceslolan Later this week it is coming out of Heritage into a truck bound for Europe :iceslolan That means 2 gaps in our collection this week as XP5 is also leaving tomorrow to go in display in Switzerland!

XPGT will be on show here should anyone wish to go and see it:
http://autosalon.be/en/salon/visiteur/dreamcar/

I will also have some more exciting news on the Heritage cars later this month, it's all kicking off for McLaren's 50th :runaround:

Thank you for arranging the display of XPGT in Brussels! It was great to finally see my first F1 in real live!
Can you tell of XP5 is still on (public) diplay in Swizerland? I would love to drive 800 km for it to see my second chassis in one week!

Martijn
