Hi,

just finished this one

I had a resin copy of the Schuco BMWZ4M, cut away the front and the rear and lengthened them to get better proportions. It is a non-high-detail-model, so interior is rather basic. A little after racing dirt was the end of work.

Decals, wheels and tires, brake discs, seat and –belts, hood pins are Scaleproduction items, the printed base is from frafi

Beautiful work and beautiful car ==> This is 2010 24h Nürburgring ==> I "HP Strehler" was one of the 4 drivers :-)
We won the class SP6 and were 21 overall.

also many decals are mistaken and lights should be yellow.
Otherwise a nice model, considering the starting material to work on ;)

Hi,

my reference photos say white headlights

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3661653534666632.jpg

There is a difference between VLN races and 24 h races

Hello Guys

Just to clarify as one of the drivers of this car during several years (in the first post/pic of this thread my red/white helmet is visible) :

The reference photo is the car during 24h 2010, where we had white headlights due to regulation (only top 20 cars were allowed to have yellow ones). And we had different stickering due to differenz sponsorship especially for the 24h race.

Before and after in 2010 we drove the car with yellow headlights and differenz stickering.

Here you will find all the pics of the season 2010.

Hello Micha,

can I please ask as to where you got the Z4 Coupe from? I would like one, the 1:1 scale will be next year for me, saving hard to say the least, but a 1/24th scale in the mean time would be nice!!!

Many Thanks,

Mike.

Hi Mike,

as you can see in the 4. photo, the model is based on a diecast. A friend made the body in resin and I lengthened the rear and front.

The diecast came from Schuco, maybe hard to find at the moment.
Here something similar:

Just look for BMW Z4M made by Schuco or Cararama

Hope you have sucess ;-)
