OK - before you read further, you HAVE to go out and buy this - its a great read!! Rowan is my kind of F1 owner - enthusiastic about the car, uses it as you would do a VW Golf to go on holiday, to work, to race meetings etc, loves the brand and can't sing the praises highly enough of the MSO [who also happens to make an apppearance :)]

Ahem, yes :loser:
Page 92 now added :)
At quick glance whilst adding these pics it did look like the interior was changed to have white passenger seats - it looks like they are either the same cream or the photography showed them as white
I'm glad they aren't changed, as it keeps the car as it was from new :) [unless MSO can tell us otherwise?]

I had been told he wanted the car rebuilt in what some would describe as a sentimental restoration. I believe that all of the interior that could be saved (perhaps all of it?) was preserved.

Even Gred did superb job :smokin:, I have to get this magazine. You can I think most of this forum members can feel trought the fingers when open the box and take there around 15 years an old magazine, exaple that CAR (was it car), where is 1997 GTR Longtail vs Ferrari F50 in Austria A1 Ring. That's why I buy these magazines. History!:smokin:

XP3 is believed to have around 60k miles.
#046 had had 35k miles after the anniversary burt before to go to Sport & Collection, so at least 36k miles now.
I would like to know how many miles Flemke has on #40, if he reads...

I think it bears all the hallmarks of Mc (You-Know-Who) requesting the return of the item, from whoever had it, under threat of legal action.
They have several ebay identities (Orangestan, McLarenracinglimited) which have no purchase feedback, but have been (allegedly) previously used to obtain seller's contact information and then made a direct approach to recover the listed ebay item.
Their second line of recovery involves the ebay Vero system, whereby they exercise their rights as trademark & copyright holders of the McLaren name, to have ebay remove the auction.
It's perfectly within their remit as trademark owners, but does make the collecting of the rarer McF1 Bits somewhat of a cat & mouse game.
