i recently had to have my alternator replaced at firestone and they removed the radiator and the splash guard???the piece that was underneath the car in front that connected with snap pieces to the plastic trim that goes around the bottom front of car, i believe it connects with push type connectors and protects parts up under there from road debris and such anyway their lazy mechanics didn't put it back on good and it came loose on the freeway at high speed and i did not hear it dragging the ground and it shredded it. i need a new one and they have agreed to pay for it but now the manager is saying it is a discontinued part and he can't find one...yeah right...so i'm asking you kind people to please point me to one so i can call him give him the number and get this piece back on my car that i love. he says it doesn't need it. please give me any input you can. it is part no. 22 circled above in the diagram...thank you...

The car does not have to have it, but... it is there to help the airflow. I do not know of any new ones available. I was able to find a replacement one for my sons car from the junk yard 1995 to 1999 are all the same. The Buick Rivera's will work if that is all you can find. It is not exactly the same but close enough. Be sure to get extra plastic push clips from the inner fender cover. Good ones are hard to come by and easy to break. I have not been able to find a exact replacement at the auto parts stores.

Good luck

thank you very much for this info...i posted in the classifieds there on the site you suggested. hopefully i'll find one. the MANAGER at the firestone is really not trying. it has very much disappointed me as they have been servicing my car for years and i have paid them TONS of money on this car. even when i returned it to them to remove the dragging piece from underneath my car they said i had a bad wheel bearing and charged me 300.00 more go figure...
