I am changing my tranny gasket on the pan and the filter while I am at it. I have a '96 LSS non-SC.
On the male end of the filter connection there is a gasket like seal (bushing?), well it is stuck in the tranny and I can't pull it out. I don't want to get to aggressive so I don't buck something up.
Anybody got advice on pulling this thing out?

More often than not, when they don't want to come out, most techs just leave them in there.....just lube the end of the filter and stick it in until it bottoms out in the hole....

If you want it out, just get a good chisel and drive the edge inward(once you start this, it has to come out) until it collapses and comes loose...

Also you don't have to replace the pan gasket...it's reuseable.....
