Hello,

My engine blew, and so i replaced with a used engine. I was wondering if that would make my overhead garage door button not work. if so, is there anything i can do to get that to work?
thx

Figuring that you had your battery disconnected during the engine swap, reprogram the button.

i have tired. it isn't excepting code. I have tried that 4 differ. times... and including disconnecting battery and reconnecting it to see if that would help. Could this be because of the different engine, but didn't change the computer?

i appoligize. I went out and googled the directions... step by step.... and even though i did this... it wasn't working... but i must have been missing a step because after 40 min. last night of trying it over and over...
all of a sudden it worked. Maybe have a short or somethign.. i don't know.
but i got the dumb thing to work... yeah..
thx

The last one I did, I had to hold the opener right up against it before the code would get captured.

can you clear all the homelink programs and start over? think you have to hold first and third position for a minute, it will say erased, and then can try to reprogram. i ran into this problem when the transmission was replaced.
