I've been making this aventador from aoshima from a while.there are many good impressions from aoshima such as perfect fits and gaps also great in details like engine tags, but there are also some mistakes they made with this kit.First the instruction isnt that clear the painting pattern is not accurate,in a supercar kit details of painting is needed.from my oppinion i think this kit has become better choice for customers, not like most of old aoshima kits this kit is in accurate dimension.http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m596/theblackbird1/89fb852226698b768a53dd52f21a748d.jpghttp://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m596/theblackbird1/ee210248abd9f7a5e2b982e260adb285.jpghttp://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m596/theblackbird1/010de773da40642c76f2fc64d103f61b.jpg

Great start!
I talked myself out of buying this kit on line this morning.
Q1. Is that spoiler on the car (in the background) a spoiler that comes with the kit?
Q2. What is going on with the wheels in the picture where you are stripping the chrome? Intriguing!
Q3. Do you know the difference between the AOS01431 and the AOS01424?
Keep it up!
Thank you for your insight!

Blackbird your random pictures with scattered items has me intrigued and perplexed all at once. What color is on the car? what wheels are you using?......

Q1 yep,the spoiler came with the kit
Q2 the wheels are actually the ADV1 resin wheels and i'm gonna paint them matte black
Q3 i think the only different thing is the boxart on the front that's it,because i bought this one from japan and it's the AOS01424 which is the one with plain white background behind the car on the box,I've asked some modelers in my country where they've got the AOS01431.So far i think both boxes are the same.

Don't panic. I know this looks confusing I'm sorry for missing some information. The paint is a mixture of no.59(orange) and no.47(clear red) to ratio of 5:1, I'm going to use the resin ADV1 for the wheels:biggrin:

Another update for today
The body is polished, the wheels are in for the fitment test,I think the tyres are too thick so I might change them later.

Q3. Do you know the difference between the AOS01431 and the AOS01424?
01431: Export version, tri-color background box, simplified engine
01424: Japanese market version, white background box, full engine details.
The export version was created based on the input from the distributor, but apparently the global demand for the Japanese version turned out stronger, so they will not take the same marketing approach in the future.
So the tri-color box might actually become rare. ;)

That stinks about the broken piece.
Everything is looking sharp!
Those wheels fit perfectly too.
That paint looks SHINY. I can see the grid on your cutting board reflecting perfectly.
Keep it up!

I was surprised to see Aoshima go with this suicide move that was suggested by their distributors, whom obviously know nothing about what the model building community wants to have.
Nice to hear that they have learned from this mistake.

Today's update the headlights are done, engine cover is done. Now I find it tricky to make the Lambo doors working so I came up with a solution which is Kindda working but not efficient. So if anyone has better solutions please reply.MY solution is to connect the doors to the body first with tape, then put the metal stray in from inside this way you can adjust it in the right way.
