95 passport engine swap

I have a 95 passport 4x4 w/3.2, buddy has 97 3.2 he pulled out of his rig 6 yrs ago, wondering how compatible these engines are for a swap. they look the same, but don't know about conectors/ECU/OBD 1vs OBD2?:confused:
