Another new project guys!

I choose this Tamiya Porsche 911 GT3:

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/6539/inhoud%20(2)%20(Custom).jpg

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/6539/inhoud%20(4)%20(Custom).jpg

The original wheels are very nice:

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/6539/inhoud%20(5)%20(Custom).jpg

and they look cool under this car:

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/6539/inhoud%20(6)%20(Custom).jpg

But I had these Avs Model F7 wheels by Aoshima in mind, which are much nicer!

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/6539/inhoud%20(9)%20(Custom).jpg

First thought was to paint it Fayence Yellow, but finally I choose this special VW Color. Mocca Brown Pearl.

One more very interesting WIP from you to follow :iceslolan
especially that I still have myself my GT3 to finish... and another one to convert into 2001 Deutschland Röhrl's "0" car.
Good choice for the wheels, and also the color.

Brown has become a rather popular colour recently!
would also look awesome in that 'Nordic Gold' colour you used for your Veilside GTR!

Yeah I think that looks cool too, but because I used it on the Veilside I now wanted a different color.

I have another one in my stash so maybe I'll paint that one in Nordic Gold. Thanks for the suggestion :D

Nice wheels. Huge 20 inches...
What will be the interior's color ???

I'm going to build the same GT3 but in the red color. Classic one.
So I will be watching this topic often.

Keep going !

I don't know what color I'll use for the interior. Maybe tan or something? I always love that interiorcolor, but I use that too often on my models

Looking forward to your GT3!

A while ago I primered the body with Zero grey primer.

Today I painted it Mocca Brown Pearl. I don't know why it's called Mocca Brown but my girlfriend doesn't see any brown it's more like grey. I'm colorblind so I don't ask me what color it's supposed to be :D

Back on the Porsche 911.

First I searched for new brakes as the original are too small and I can't use them with the lowering I planned.

I'll use the ScaleProdction brakes. Love them! I painted the resin calipers red and added APracing decals on them and clearcoated.

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/6539/remmen%20(1)%20(Custom).jpg

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/6539/remmen%20(2)%20(Custom).jpg

The wheels were stripped to remove the chrome. I primered them and painted them Alclad Gloss Black. Added the decals and this is how they look:

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/6539/velgen%20(1)%20(Custom).jpg

And mounted the brakes behind them.

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/6539/velgen%20(2)%20(Custom).jpg

I added the frontlight glasses. They need a amber area, but I don't like that. I kept them clear.

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/6539/velgen%20(3)%20(Custom).jpg

On the backside I painted the lower part red and upper part clear.

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/6539/velgen%20(4)%20(Custom).jpg

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/6539/velgen%20(5)%20(Custom).jpg

And a dryfit with the wheels.

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/6539/velgen%20(6)%20(Custom).jpg

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/6539/velgen%20(7)%20(Custom).jpg

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/6539/velgen%20(8)%20(Custom).jpg

Now I need to get further with the black interior and chassis.

Not a big fan of the black wheels on this car but the work is very well done. I think the wheels were really nice before the black treatment and a better fit with the dark body color. Still curious to see the final result though.

The headlights without the amber area look better.

I really liked this color combo with the wheels but I guess it is more classical...

Yesterday I finished the interior. I kept it stock and simple. Just black and some aluminium details. The carpet is from the kit itself.

Looking good!
The dash looks nice and clean.
You painted the buttons so well! They dont look sloppy or like they were done by hand.
Awesome!

The chassis is also finished. I cutted away the mudguards to make room for the big wheels. I also trimmed the suspension and the inner side of the wheels. I gave the rear wheels some negative camber.

Then I could paint everything and added some wheatering.
