hi .. newbie here i hope this is the proper thread.. ihave a 2000 cheveyblazer witha remote starter last night it started twice on its own ..any ideas why it would do this it came already installed when i got the truck used.thanks so much

Since your thread really wasn't related to the one you posted to, I've moved it out to a new thread.

Do you know if the remote start system is a factory installed system or aftermarket? One fairly reliable way to tell would be based on the key fob - if it has the Chevy or GM logo, it's probably factory installed. If it has a different brand name on it, then it's aftermarket, and please provide that brand name. If you happen to know the model number, that will help as well.

Some aftermarket systems can be programmed to automatically start the vehicle and run it for some set number of minutes when the cabin temperature gets below some threshhold. Maybe your system is programmed that way and the auto start was due to temperature?
