I knew KB was the man. I don't drink beer. The most I've had in one sitting is a 1/2 ounce sip.

The most would be a few years back watching Bathurst when me and a mate cleaned out 4doz...cant even remember the race :bloated: :bloated:

3 beers. Don't ask me what they were, I couldn't tell you. :D I don't drink beer regularly, and I like the taste even less. But, necessity is indeed the mother of invention, and damn if I didn't need a significant buzz that night. It worked quite well. ;)

Ah you can tell all you people arnt from NZ (well most anyway). I drink beer over spirits usually. I only really drink spirits if Im only intending to get drunk, if im just drinking at a party or whatever I just drink beer, means I usually dotn get that drunk but thats all good.

Back in college we had this annual event called Newman Day. The last Friday in January, the idea was that you buy a case of beer, drink the whole thing spaced out over the course of the day, while going to all your classes, doing all your studying, and finishing by midnight without napping or puking. My first three years I thought it was a moronic, sadistic act of liver abuse, but my senior year I decided what the hell. I wound up putting away 22, though I puked at least a couple times, and I wound up dozing off. I woke up at 11:00 (so I had one hour left to complete the insanity) in my friend's room, I had my last two Beast Lights on the couch beside me, and I just got up, went home, and crashed.

The worst part was running into one my geology professors at 8:00 the next morning (I don't know why, but after a night of heavy drinking, like any other normal {read "non-drinking"} night, I get my 8 hours of sleep and then I'm up, unless it's an amount sufficient to put me in a coma) while having breakfast in the cafeteria, and trying to have a conversation while trying to hide the signs of a blatantly staggering hangover.

To the end of impressive drinking feats, one of my freshmen when I was a junior advisor beat just about any tale of drinking lunacy that I have ever heard. Dave once put away 15 beers inside of an hour, without puking or anything. Note that this kid is like 5'7" and weighs only about 140 lbs. I've never heard of anybody else surviving such a gut-busting liver-abusive act with such minimal side effects. If any of you guys have, I'd definitely like to hear about it :)

I don't really remember how much it ended up being... it was free, and I wasn't counting. But I do remember pissing 3 times within 45 minutes, and having wicked tunnel vision on the way home in the cab. Never again though, it's just not really worth it.

beers not too bad if u drink it alot, and im at college so it happens often. no money for ne thing else. about 10 or so is the most i ever had.

lol.. i can't beleive i'm only 17 and i've topped out most of you guys :D I'm also only 5' 8'' 140lbs (but growing :D ) if you read my post...... 15 beers, yeah :) but mine wasn't in the coarse of an hour! :eek: i drank the 15 in like 4 hours, i was pacing myself :D :D

I used to really like beer until my ex-boyfriend secretly spiked it with Vodka when we were out one night. I hadn't eaten for ages so my stomach was totally empty. I was sick for days after that and I still can't stand the smell of beer anymore! :( :apuke:

yeah that sucks when you get drunk on an empty stomach, you can feel your stomach burning.... and if you have to throw up, there's nothing to throw up, just like all the acids and liquids come out of your stomach :D

I went to college up in Maine, where the winters were long, cold, and lonely. Lots of kids who didn't go skiiing every weekend and also were not inclined to knock themselves out studying found drinking a good way to pass the time (like up in northern New England, what do you do all winter long??? DRINK!). So we became something of "experts" at drinking, sad as that sounds. I had friends that really pushed up the bar, pulling stunts like doing Newman Day with Guiness, or just plain not stopping at 24 beers. I had one friend who got to a whopping 34 beers my senior year (naturally the drinking continued past midnight), and only stopped because his roommate practically tied him to the bed to force him to go to sleep. He had pissed himself when he woke up!!! :D

Anyway, not that it's anything to be proud of, but keep it up, I'm sure you'll be able to do the 24 in 24. Just continue to build your tolerance. I'll tell you right now, once classes are out, Newman Day is a blast! You go to the cafeteria and try to act sober enough to get in (security is wise to Newman Day and what it entails, so they try not to let drunk kids into the mess hall), and you go from friend's room to friend's room with your case of beer, sit around and watch movies, keep drinking, listen to music, keep drinking, have a quick snack, keep drinking... uggh, it's a bloody fucking alcoholic mess.. but quite fun as a change of pace. Maybe I should go up for it this year!!! :D Pretty crazy shit.

i think my tolerence is pretty high for a 17 year old.... but a while ago i had to stop drinking for about 4 months :eek: :eek: because i was on some medication that didn't allow alcohol. So i had to start over, my damn liver got healthy again!! :) after that i had to get my liver bad again :D

Once I learned to shot gun beers, I found that I was able to get my tolerance boosted quite high very fast. If you don't do it already, you may want to give it a shot.

i can chug beer like nothin else, i kill my friends.... cause i got my method, you need an air hole. So i take the beer with one hand then use my other hand to make an air hole, then just let the beer pour right down your throat :D

JD......I think we need to hook up to have a few cold ones.....i like your style :D :D

I believe my personal record was about 3-6packs. During football season.:D

After being completly dry for over 2yrs I took a 12 pack of Lion Red, (real beer, not pissy american stuff) to a new years party and drank the lot. However after that I can't stand to drink more than 3-4 beers, Iv become stricktly a wine and sprits man.


JD I have a cousin who an amazing alcahol tollerance.
At his 21st he drank continusly the whole night, from about 3pm till 2am.
During the night he also did 3 FULL YARDS! within 2hrs, the first two were finnished in under 2minutes, the 3rd in under 4. After each yard he simple picked his glass back up and continued drinking again.
He only once almost puked, but nothing actualy arriaved, and he even managed to walk home. However hes about 6ft 5 and must weigh well over 100kgs. (200lbs)

I was thinking that as I wrote it, that in Australia Foster's is probably considered commercialized crap beer :D Problem for me is that I happen to have cheap taste in beer. I love Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light, basically the cheap, really watery beers. Don't be fooled, I am no tolerance master (I wish - I just have my moments when I can pound them pretty well and not lose my shit - but usually I'm one of the first to start slurring like a sonofabitch!!), but your cousin sounds like quite the champ! I agree heartily there: there are some DAMNED GOOD Canadian beers out there. Molson Golden and Molson Ice are simply excellent.

The one thing i've always wondered is, how come in Canada almost all beers have Twist caps, but in the U.S. you have to use bottle openers??

Thinking of Tui reminds me of a pub we have down here, theres 3 huge TV's, I have no idea how big but theyre huge, any way above them theres a sign that says "Tui Fourth Umpire" and above the pool table theres a sign taht says "Tui Sobriety Test"
