ABS, Brake light on.

98 1500 4x4 quad, ABS light, Brake light on and speedo dont work.. Check engine light came on and says speed sensor.. Sooooo i replace the speed sensor and nohting clears even try resetting and still nothing clears or works. Is there any other option?

The P0500 DTC?
Was the speed sensor on the differential?

To check for ABS codes, you'll need to check it with an ABS capable scan tool.
Call around to the chain type auto stores for a free scan w/ABS capable scan tool.

Yeah that was the code, And it is on the rear end.

i dunno if it helps you or not but i had same issue for the brake light and abs also the speedo went to zero other day and worked again so i havent checked for codes for it

but for brake light i had i guessing air in the line as i had someone else do the brake line and did a single flare not a double flare for new brake lines so it was sucking air i guess and bleeding out the connections once i put new proper lines on i drove it a bit and the lights stopped maybe you have same issue maybe not sure but try bleeding lines

Is your speedo orking again? My brakes arent leaking or been touched lately. So far as i know my kid said the brake and abs came on at the same time then a couple weeks later the speedo stopped working then the check engine light came on stating it was speed sensor. So i replaced the sensor in the rear end no change.. and just replaced the output speed sensor on the tranny and everything still dont work. Guess im gonna have to take it to a shop.

my sperdometer still working it was on and off for a bit so who knows maybe dirty? or what not
as for brakes it was just idea

i wonder if its loose connection for computer? this going back serveral years but for my Z34 1991 lumina it had issues of injectors and what not and dash was glitchs with engne light and if u tapped your finger on the cars computer it made engine light go on and off and make the injectors run on and off its just an idea to try to thats from a GM though dunno if it applys but who knows what it could be right?

FYI for those who might have same issue. Checking the connector from the truck to the speed sensors. The pronges were pushed to far in to make connection.
