does n e body know where i could find some performance parts for a 92 celica st?? i have looked about every where, and can't find much of n e thing... i had to use a civic cold air intake, cause i couldn't find one for the car... n e help would be greatly appreciated

I'm in the same shoes as you. I bought a 92 Celica ST. Paid 1500 bucks for it w/ 119k miles on it. Runs like it was new and it looks as if it just came out of the showroom except for the cirgarette hole in the back seat and beleive it or not two in the back edge of the drivers side door. Some uncoordinated smoker could not find the ashtray. If I find some aftermarket parts for a 92 I'll contact you. If you find anything please drop me a line.

I race Toyota's in the OORA. class 6 and ralley championship.......after market parts for my camry shell are next to impossible to find ....I have had to manufacture almost all of my own.....some at very great expense.......I have had cam shops tell me the motor will not stand up to it......Or ....it will run rough or not idle...

The problem is in the NON-programmable ECU no-body wants to make parts for a car that's engine was disigned as "reliable" and long lasting ........I guess they don't figure on us......
I have modified and opened up my intake (stock) I have built my own headers (still cheaper than buying the 3sgte headers at $499 before tax) I have machined the head to increase compression and still run on super no lead.
My vehicle on the front wheel dyno before mods made 120hp now on the same wheel dyno with the same temp outside and all variables taken into account makes 135hp.

Toyota FE Series Engines

(3/5SFE / 4/7AFE / 4/5EFE / 1ZZFE / and V6 / V8s)

The various FE series engines (using the FE head design) are the most thoroughly developed and purpose tuned Toyota power plants. In the USA, 98% of current models Toyotas use this engine/head design. The FE 4 valve per cylinder, narrow-angle Twin Cam heads (on the various Toyota blocks) are the reason for the amazing response and smoothness of the current generation Toyota motors. The high torque characteristic designed into these engines give the driver all the advantages of the Twin Cam head design- plus low-end torque and fuel economy. Torque is the reason why these engines respond quickly and smoothly. The performance band has been engineered to provide power from low RPM to the designated redline.

There has been a lot of requests for parts and modifications for these engines, but unfortunately trying to raise the RPM band (or changing cams) will negate all the built-in attributes of these engines. A camshaft change to raise the power band higher, will result in the loss of low-end torque and idling problems. Drivability will suffer and the trade off will leave the customer with a compromised engine, trying to work against the ECU program and engine design.
