I have a 2007 Dakota with 3.7L V6.
What parts should I change to do a tune up?
Plugs, wires, anything else?
Thanks,
Mark

I would probably just go to a local mechanic and ask for advice and make it CLEAR that you don't want to buy anything from them. The minute they realise you're a rookie and you don't know anything they will rip you off. I'm in a bit of a similar situation to be honest, I'm going to get handed down an MX-5 which I'm going to share with my brother and he's been going on about tuning the engine. I'm not going to begin to pretend to know what I'm talking about but does anyone know how long it might take? Is it something that will take days or weeks? I want to be prepared for it... Thing is, I'm temporarily moving to South Africa in a few weeks which is where the car is, and my brother's already found a company to potentially do the work. I just wondered if anyone could take a look at the website and see if they seem legit? I'm guessing it'll be easier for you experts to know than me. They do stuff such as engine tuning (http://tuned2race.com/) and other car related things... They're called tuned2race.com. Any help would be appreciated!

Hey guys, on most of the newer vehicles which don't have distributor caps or even plug wires on some, a tune up consists of replacing the plugs and maybe the fuel filter and airfilter. It depends on the vehicle but I usually clean the throttle body and run some fuel cleaner through for good measure.
